you are here! is an invitation, or even a provocation, to emerge from everyday life for a moment, to linger in the present moment and to sharpen your senses for the surrounding space and the movement within it. Let yourself be surprised – you are here!

Restricted by the pandemic, the desire arose in 2020/21 to develop moving action miniatures for urban residential areas and thus bring performance and dance directly to people’s doorsteps.
Contemporary dance meets parkour: the entertaining actions happen suddenly and spontaneously, for example at the foot of large apartment buildings, near playgrounds and supermarkets, on bicycle stands or staircases… The main addressee is always the random local audience.
(unannounced and unadvertised, as the pandemic did not allow invitations to public events, the actions “premiered” in Cologne in winter 2020/2021).

In collaboration with the film artist Chris Piotrowicz, the two short films “you are here – frames” and “you are here – encounters” were made in the Kalk district of Cologne.
